# You got a consent request

> What the email is, why you got it, and what happens next.

A coach on your child's hockey team uses **RinkNotes** to capture spoken notes — quick
observations during games and practices that become feedback, game stats, and things to
work on. Before they capture anything about your child, they need **your consent**.

That's what the email is: a request for you to review and decide.

  until you grant consent. And you can change or withdraw that decision at any time.

## What to expect
