# Parent FAQ

> Common questions from parents.

  <Accordion title="Is anything captured before I consent?">
    No. Nothing is recorded or kept about your child — not even their name in the team's
    notes — until you grant consent.

  <Accordion title="Can other parents see my child's information?">
    No. Each parent sees only their own child. Parent volunteers who help capture notes can't
    see any player's outputs.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I have to pay anything?">
    No. RinkNotes is paid for by the club. Parents never pay.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if I disagree with a piece of feedback?">
    Use **Flag this** on the item to send it to the coaching staff. See
    [correcting something](/parents/corrections).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens to the data if I withdraw?">
    New capture stops immediately and your page clears. You can still
    [export a full copy](/parents/export-data) afterward.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does RinkNotes store my child's date of birth?">
    No. Only the birth **year** (the age group) is stored — never a full date of birth.
