# Accept your invite and consent

> Sign in as yourself, choose what to share, and grant consent — all in one sitting.

When your team sets you up, you get an invite by email with a one-click link. Opening it
takes you through two things: confirming it's really you, then choosing what to share.

## Confirm it's you

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the link">
    Use the link in your invite email. It's tied to your email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with that same email">
    Confirm it's you with a **magic link** or **Google** — or, in the iOS app, **Apple**. Use
    the **same email address your team sent the invite to**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Sign in with the **exact email your invite was sent to**. This is how RinkNotes proves the
  consent is coming from you — no one can grant it on your behalf. If you sign in with a
  different email, the link won't verify.
</Warning>

Signing in binds this player spot to your account. On its own, that's **not** consent — you
grant that in the next step.

## Choose what to share

Next you'll see exactly what you're agreeing to: your team captures observations about you and
uses AI to turn them into what you receive. **Nothing is shared until you grant it.**

You choose the categories, each on by default — uncheck any you'd rather not receive, and keep
at least one:

* **Feedback** — development summaries written for you to read.
* **Games** — game stats pulled from what your coach said.
* **What to Work On** — things to practice next.

The screen also spells out, plainly:

* **Who processes it** — to transcribe and summarize what's said, your data is handled by AI
  and transcription providers under **no-training** terms. This disclosure is recorded with
  every consent.
* **How long it's kept** — while you're on the roster and your consent stands. Withdraw and
  processing stops, the sharing is emptied, and your record is queued for deletion.

Tap **grant consent** and you're set — you land on your own player page.

<Info>
  **Changed your mind is always allowed.** You can withdraw your consent at any time from your
  page, and the team stops sharing right away. See [Your player page](/players/your-page).
