# RinkNotes for players

> You're on an adult team, so you hold your own RinkNotes account and consent for yourself — no parent in the loop.

Most RinkNotes teams are youth teams, where a parent holds the account and consents for their
child. **Adult teams work differently.** If you're on one — junior, college, senior, or rec —
**you** hold your own account, **you** decide what your coaches can share with you, and the
feedback comes straight to you.

## How it works, for you

<Steps>
  <Step title="Your team invites you">
    You get an invite by email — sent to you, not a parent.
  </Step>

  <Step title="You sign in and consent for yourself">
    You confirm it's you, then choose what to share. Nothing is captured about you until you do.
    [Accept your invite →](/players/accept-invite)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Your feedback shows up on your page">
    As your coaches capture and confirm notes, they appear on your own page — for your eyes.
    [Your player page →](/players/your-page)
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  **You're in control.** Nothing about you is captured until you consent, you pick what's
  shared, and you can withdraw at any time — the team stops sharing immediately.
</Info>

## Common questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need an account?">
    Yes — your own. Unlike a parent (who just uses a link), an adult player holds a real
    account, signed in with your email, Google, or (in the app) Apple.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can my teammates or coaches' other players see my feedback?">
    No. Your feedback is yours. Other players never see it, and you never see theirs.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is a parent involved?">
    No. On an adult team there's no parent request and no parent page — you consent for
    yourself and receive your own feedback.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if I change my mind?">
    Withdraw your consent any time from your page. The team stops sharing and your information
    is queued for deletion. See [Your player page](/players/your-page).
  </Accordion>

<Note>
  Not on an adult team? If a **parent** consents for you as a minor, the
  [Parents](/parents/consent-request) section is the one that applies.
